▣ Paengseong-eup Gaeksa
During the Goryeo Dynasty and Joseon Dynasty (918-1910), the Jeonpae (a wooden tablet symbolizing the king) was enshrined at this place, and government officials performed bowing rituals to the king every first and fifteenth day of the month.
The Gaeksa held a higher status than the magistrate's office, and government officials stayed here when delivering the king’s orders. Foreign envoys and government officials from the palace also used the place for accommodation.
